The Installation Process
Insul-Seal pipes are relatively simple to install and the process can be completed in just 6 steps. Take a look below as we walk through the installation process step by step.
How to Install Insul-Seal Pipes
Step 1
Fold back polyethylene sleeve on male and female ends of pipe. Apply recommended bead of caulk on urethane foam at male end of pipe.
Step 2
Apply PVC glue to both ends of PVC pipe.
Step 3
Slide pipe together until ends fit snugly against each other.
Step 4
Fold back polyethylene sleeve on one side of joint.
Step 5
Roll polyethylene sleeve on the opposite side of joint, over joint, toward folded back section of polyethylene sleeve and tape to secure polyethylene in place.
Step 6
Roll opposite sleeve over taped sleeve to complete overlapping of polyethylene sleeves over joints and then tape.
